Notes:
Abel was the Bauermeister in Frille in 1670. He lived in the old Vieth house a bit further south than the current one at Erstes Dorf 6 in Frille. His place was listed as being “im untersten Dorf”. But a map dated 1672 shows his house to the west of that address, across the “Gemeine Heer Straße” (now Erstes Dorf) near Erstes Dorf 9. That maps shows Abel’s house with label 49 C, where C means “Cumpters”, perhaps meaning belonging to a Komturei or Kommende, a property belonging to a benefice in commendam granted to a church or monastery.
