Notes:
Councilman (Gerichtsschöffe) starting 1601, mayor (Schultheiss) in Crumstadt 1622–1635. He appears in the Crumstadt draft list of 1588 (updated 1592) as having a long gun, in the Buchtumsprotokollen of 1607/1613/1615 as councilman, in the Buchtum Erbleihvertrag of 1617 as councilman, and as Schultheiss in the Schadensverzeichnis von Mansfeld of 1622. In his house (modern address Fr.-Ebert-Str. 8, Crumstadt), the protestant King Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden and his staff spent the night of 2 Dec 1631 (old style) before crossing the Rhine by Erfelden and before the battle against the Catholic Spanish at Kühkopf/Oppenheim. He likely died of the plague in 1635, but certainly before 1639, as the war damage list of 1639 was signed by his son Johannes as mayor. He is not listed in the Nomina Crombstadensium 1641 as having survived the plague.
