Notes:
Grenadier, fabric dealer (Drellhändler) in Steinhude Nr. 14. (The house there was rebuilt by his descendants in 1842, and continued to be used for weaving.) He served as grenadier for eleven years and four months in the Obrist Graf zur Lippe Compagnie, part of the Gräfliches Schaumburg Lippisches Löbl. Grenadier Regiment. He was discharged honorably 24 March 1772 after identifying his "brother" Diedrich Hodan of Steinhude as a replacement. He died of dropsy, leaving 40 Reichsthaler gold to the poor, from which interest the sick poor would be cared for.
