    1. Johann Salomon Giercke (*Dehmen bei Stralsund, Pommern, Germany ✝︎1817 Dömitz, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany)
    2. Johann Gierke ()

Notes:
From Dehmen bei Stralsund. He may be the Johann Friedrich Gierke who, as a sailor, was found drowned at sea on 3 July 1829 near Stralsund and buried on 4 July 1829. That sailor was born in Barth and lived in the Franken-Vorstadt in Stralsund, and was 64 years old. The Franken district today includes Frankenvorstadt, Dänholm (Dehmen??), Franken-Mitte, and Frankensiedlung. For this assignment to be correct, however, the indication in his son's marriage record in Dömitz in 1809 that Johann Friedrich was already dead must be incorrect. A possible connection to this family is found in the marriage of Johann Joachim Gierk, Steuermann auf der königl. Licentjacht, resident in Stralsund, born in Barth, who married Anna Maria Bolkenhagen on 20 May 1810 at Stralsund St. Nicolai. His parents were the late Christoph Gierk, sailor in Barth, and Dorothea geb. Trapp.

Perhaps more likely is that he was the late husband of the widow Anna Catharina Stumpfeldts, who died 23 June 1794 and was buried 25 June 1794 at the old Marienkirchhof in Stralsund. Her husband had been a master tailor. She was from Tribsees and died age 66 years of dropsy (likely diabetes).
