Their wedding sermon text was Phil. 4:8 “Weiter, liebe Brüder, was wahrhaftig ist, was ehrbar, was gerecht, was keusch, was lieblich, was wohllautet, ist etwa eine Tugend, ist etwa ein Lob, dem denket nach!” (“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”)

A beer dealer named H. Gerloff is listed in Berlin at Holzgartenstraße 3 in 1812. A widow Gerloff, likely his widow, is listed at Holzgartenstraße 2 in 1818/1819. A bookkeeper named Johann Heinrich Gerloff, husband of Rosine Wilhelmine geb. Weber, died 22 Mar 1814 at Holzgartenstraße Nr. 2, leaving behind a widow and one adult daughter. He was buried 27 Mar 1814, death registered in the Friedrichswerderkirche. But this couple was married on 9 Sep 1792, as noted in the Friedrichswerderkirche records, which means they are not a match.
