Notes:
Weaver in Harthausen. He had the most devout conscience. His baptismal sponsor “Johann Adam des Schinder Jacobs Sohn” may have been the son of the infamous Jakob Koller, also called Schinder Jackl and Zauberer Jackl, who came from Werfen in the Salzachtal in Austria, and who with his mother supported themselves primarily by aggressive begging and petty theft. Jakob Koller’s arrest in 1675 in Gölling for witchcraft marked the beginning of the Salzburg witch trials 1675-1690. Jakob Koller’s mother was executed for witchcraft; he himself escaped and his fate was unknown.
