Notes:
Freischulz in Lübtheen. The Schulz property (Nr. 1) lay near the stream, about where today the former court building lies. The property consisted of 1½ Hufen of land. A Hufe is 9600 square Ruthen, without including meadows
or pastures. That is 20.8 hectares or 32 Morgen. Originally the Schulze probably only had 1 Hufe, for in 1520 it is reported that he paid the taxes equivalent for a half Hufe on an abandoned Hufe. But apparently he kept this
half Hufe permanently. He is listed in the Lübtheen tax list of 1520.
